The City of Trenton Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on June 29 at 6:15 regarding the addition of brewpubs to zoning laws. Brewpubs are described as a hybrid between a brewery and a restaurant. They sell beer that is brewed on the premises and typically include a menu of food items.
The board passed the ordinance which permits brewpubs in the B-1 (Central Business-Retail), B-2 (Business-Retail), and B-3 (Business-General) districts.
Several local business owners brought this before the city several months ago because of their plan to build and run a brewpub in Trenton. They envision a nice establishment with craft beer, quality food, and an enjoyable atmosphere.
