The Middlebrooks family opened Center Creek Fireworks on Monday, June 19 just in time for Independence Day.

For over 20 years, Herbie Middlebrooks and his family have enjoyed putting on firework displays, selling fireworks to the public, and talking about pyrotechnics. On and off over the years, they have sold and put on displays, and this is the third year they have set up a fireworks store in Dade County, having previously sold on Sand Mountain.

Middlebrooks said, “My wife and I mostly do this for our grandkids, to teach them how to deal with the public. Our whole family are pyro fanatics. My brother has a store in Skyline, Ala. just outside of Scottsboro.”

The store is open every day from 11 a.m – 9 p.m. until the week of July 4. They plan to stay open for an additional hour or two during the week leading up to Independence Day.

The family is selling in the Alexander’s Appliances building at 12210 South Main Street, Trenton, GA 30752.

Middlebrooks reported, “We can save the community lots of money by keeping them from having to drive to South Pittsburg, Tenn. and paying the freeway tourist prices.”
