Sheriff’s Office and Dade County Schools

Week seven of Citizen’s Academy took place at Dade Elementary School where citizens learned about C.H.A.M.P.S. (Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety). This statewide program is an initiative by the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association. Sheriff Cross and his team then explained how they prepare for active shooter situations at the schools.
