JANICE DANIEL

Janice Mae Daniel, 78, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023.

She was born on March 2, 1945, to Alva and Ida May Daniels in Ahoskie, N.C.

Survivors include her husband, James Nevian Daniel; sons, Brian Houston Daniel and Thomas Alvah Daniel; daughter–in–law, Kimmi Warren Daniel; grandsons, Wyatt Daniel and Joseph Daniel; sister, Bettilee (Phil) Partee; brother, Glenn (Yvonee) Daniels; special aunt, Dot Daniels.

Funeral services were Monday, April 17 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom McGuirt and Rev. Mark Brandon officiating. Interment was in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West, in Lookout Valley, Tenn.

TERRY HICKS, SR.

Terry M. Hicks, Sr., 76, of Trenton passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Terry was a loving father, grandfather and great­–grandfather and an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Hicks; granddaughter, LaCosta Ann Evans; parents, Mike and Edith Cuzzort Hicks; brothers, Roger, David, Doug and Lebron Hicks.

Survivors include his children, Terry (Becky) Hicks, and Charlotte Lankster (Eugene Henry Evans), all of Bryant, Ala.; grandchildren, Curtis, Lankster, Justin Hicks and Samantha Gilbreath; great–grandchildren, Jaxyn and Josslyn Lankster, Dallas Hicks and Anniston Gilbreath; brother, Rudy Hicks; sister, Linda Dotson; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are today, April 19, at 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

ROSEMARY MOSES

Rosemary Kirk Moses, 77, of East Ridge, Tenn., passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023.

She was a native of Dade County Georgia and attended Dade County High School and Chattanooga State College. She lived most of her life in East Ridge. She was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moses was an accountant and led the staff at Accountants Computer Service/Dynatax, City Housing Corporation and Curtis Products. She loved and valued her teams and they did her as well. She was a longtime member and officer of Data Processing Management Association. Following retirement she enjoyed life fully with her granddaughter Savannah, husband David, family, and lifelong friends Shirley (Gene) Whittle and Etta (Bill) Meyers. She loved to cook and share food with her loved ones and travel with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie D. and Mary McMahan Kirk; sister, Suzanne Atchley; brother, Derrell Kirk; nephew, Bobby Kirk.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years David Moses; daughter, Robin McKaig Rambo; son-in-law, Steve Rambo; granddaughter, Savannah Rambo; her McKaig family; her Moses family; brother, David Kirk; nieces and nephews, Dawn Kirk, Reva Kirk, Mark Kirk, Sam Kirk, Hannah Hartig, Alex Hartig, Bobby (Robin) Dingus, Richie (Jeannie) Dingus, Sadie Dingus, cousins.

A memorial service was Saturday, April 15, at Ryan Funeral Home with Paul Moses officiating. Interment was in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, April 17.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jones Memorial United Methodist Church 4131 Ringgold Road, East Ridge, Tenn., 37412.

LARUE PARKER

LaRue Parker, 94, of Rising Fawn, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

She was born on March 18, 1929, in Whitten, Ala., to the late Oscar and Meda Shirley. Mrs. Parker was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton and was employed by 3-M in Chattanooga for 38 years. She loved her family and was known for her cake baking, flower and vegetable gardens, quilting, seamstress, and doing crafts.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Kenneth Ray Parker; sister, Wanda Bradshaw; brothers, Dalph, Q.D., James, Billy, Johnny, and Max Shirley.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Frank Winans of Rising Fawn; grandson, Mark (Kathy) Winans of Ider, Ala.; cousins, favorite nieces and nephews.

A special thank you is extended to Stace’ Brewer for her excellent care of Mrs. Parker, and Brother Jim Hixon for his visits that she always looked forward to.

Graveside services were Thursday, April 13, at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Henagar, Alabama with Brother Billy Wallace officiating. McLain Butler, Wendell Bradshaw, Eli Hartline, Denny Shirley, Mike Sweat, and Mark Winans served as pallbearers.

RONNIE REEVES

Ronald Leon “Booger” Reeves Sr., 71, of Trenton, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023.

Ronnie was born March 21, 1952, to the late Robert Otis and Kathleen Mullins Reeves. He worked in the sheetrock industry and after retirement enjoyed farming, woodworking, traveling and overseeing family.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Page and Jean Gass; grandson, Austin Gray; and brother, Robert O. Reeves Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Beth Reeves; daughters, Lowanna (Joey) Vaughan, Donna Reeves Page, Rhonda Reeves Gray, and Ginger (Brian) Fitzpatrick; sons, Ronnie (Tonya Simmons) Reeves Jr., and Michael (Amanda) Collyer II; grandchildren, Colton Hill, Jordan (Kerigan) Gray, Megan (Frank) Ford, Hannah Page, Joseph Page, Jacob Reeves, Lauren Fitzpatrick, Kate Fitzpatrick, Cheyenne (Logan) Johnson, Leeann Lankford, Ashton Vaughan, and Justin Vaughan; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, April 17, at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Alan Flowers officiating. Burial was at Trenton Baptist Cemetery.\

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and their staff for taking such good care of Ronnie during the last weeks of his life. They would also like to thank Joe “Jimmy” Page and Joey “Lloyd” Vaughan for their help and kindness.

T.J. WADE

Ted Junior “T.J” Wade, 77, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

T.J. was born to the late Efford Mack and Genie Dola Reed Wade on March 28, 1946, in Scott County Va. He was a retired truck driver and earned the 3,000,000 mile safe driver award at Roadway Trucking.

In addition to his parents, T.J. was preceded in death by his brother, James Edgar “Ed” Wade.

Survivors include his children, Tim (Sherri) Wade, Theodore “T.J.” (Desiree) Wade, John-Thomas Wade, Sophia Wade, Matthew Wade, Paul (Shannan) Blanchard and Breanne (Chad) Smith; sister, Geneva Barnette; grandchildren, Tiffany, Warwick, Lukess, Skyler, Kainen, Sterling, Christian, and Walker; great-grandson, Jackson “J.T”.

Funeral services were Friday, April 14, at Rising Fawn Baptist Church with Brother Robby Dunn officiating. Burial was at Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery.
