SONNY BRADFORD
Wesley “Sonny” Drennon Bradford, 79, of New Salem, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Sonny was born Dec. 26, 1943, to the late Floyd and Thelma Mae Massey Bradford. He served in the United States Army and was named “Athlete of the Year” 1967 from the 1st Battalion, 1st Infantry at West Point Military Academy. Sonny was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. Most of all, Sonny loved his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by siblings, Vivian Hodnett, Marvin “Bud” Bradford and Ione “Tootsie” Logan.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sandra Martin Bradford; children, Wesley (Lacie) Bradford and Megan Bradford; grandchildren, Drennon and Mattie Bradford; sisters, Melba (Jerry) Bryan and Janie Joiner; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military honors were Tuesday, March 21, at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Jim Blaylock officiating. Interment was in Hawkins Cemetery.

TROY KENEMORE
Troy Ladon Kenemore, 71, of Higdon, Ala., passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Troy was born March 28, 1951 to the late Troy and Herschelene Kenemore. He worked as a crane and rigging operator for the IUOE Local 320 and TVA.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his son, Terrell Kenemore; and sister, Elwanda Frittz.
Survivors include his children, Jodie (Brandon) Pate and Tray Kenemore; grandchildren, Kyler, Aiden, Kaligh, Maddox, Bella, Taylor and Preston; extended family members.
The family will host a memorial service on a later date.
