PATRICIA BOZARTH

Patricia Kay Bozarth, 66, of Bryant, Ala., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023.

Patricia was born on March 21, 1956, to the late Ray Thomas and Margaret Milligan-Thomas in Stevenson, Ala. She was a member of Bryant Baptist Tabernacle, loved cats, flowers and gardening, and enjoyed being a homemaker for her family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Nichole Hughes.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Robert Alan Bozarth; sons, William (Kristina) Bozarth and Brian (Christy) Hughes; daughter, Kaitlyn Bozarth; sister, Rosemary (John) Roper; grandchildren, Jayci Hughes, Ashley Bolt, Blake Hughes, and Molly Hughes; extended family members

Memorial services were Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Winters officiating.

ELDEN CRANE

Elden Grady Crane, 66, of Ider, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023.

Elden was retired from U.S. Pipe and lived at his favorite place on top of Sand Mountain with his beloved wife of 28 years, Janie. Early on, Elden was an avid deer hunter. He loved metal detecting, bowling, gardening, cooking and most of all sitting on his front porch with his dogs while watching the birds.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gernie Crane and Lucy Bolick Crane; brother, Gernie “Widget” Crane; brother, Ronnie Crane and sister, Rosemary Crane.

Survivors include wife, Janie Crane; daughter, Angela Crane (John) Chenevare; Elden Grady Crane Jr.; brother and sister-in-laws, Ronald and Glenda Swader, Kelise and Sharon Hurst, Ricky Hurst, Jimmy Hurst and Elaine Crane; grandchildren, Sara Chenevare, Jodi Chenevare, Millie Chenevare and Austin Crane; great–grandchildren, Harrison Moore and Enslie Edmonson; nieces and nephews, Nick (Alison) Crane, Lana Crane and Ellen Crane (James) Temples, Kim (David) Norwood and Johnny (Dolly) Stone along with several  others.

Memorial services will be at Ryan Funeral Home on Saturday March 4, at 4:30 p.m., EST. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time.

PRESTON DANIELS

Harold Preston Daniels, 82, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023.

He was born on April 10, 1940, the son of Harold and Ruby Daniels. Preston dedicated 36 years of service to the City of Trenton as a Street Superintendent. Prior to that, he was a police officer with the City of Trenton and worked in construction for a number of years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Curtis; brothers, George, Donnie and Joseph David; and sisters, Louise Trusley, Margaret Gass, Mary Jane Giering and Annie Sue Beers.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary; daughters, Cheri Burkhart, Sharon Lamb, Cheryl Roden, Charlotte Daniels, Shelly Thompson; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sisters, Alice Wooten and Glenda Davidson.

A memorial service was Saturday, Feb. 25 at Ryan Funeral Home. Interment was at Trenton Baptist Cemetery in Trenton.  Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.

WAYNE SIMS

Richard Dewayne “Wino” Sims, 54, of Bryant, Ala., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023.

Wayne was born Feb. 6, 1969, to the late Richard and Imajean Sims. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors, sports and was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and Alabama football fan. He always supported youth sports and spent countless hours watching them participate at the ball fields and golf course. Wayne worked for many years at Kochs Foods as a diesel mechanic supervisor.

Survivors include his son, Cory (Brittany) Sims; daughter, Mattison Harden; bonus son, Derek Hicks; siblings, Elizabeth Michelle Sims and Glenn Sims; grandchildren, Hadley Grace Sims, Kailey Sims and Zay; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment was at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bryant, Ala.
