MARTIN HICKEY

Martin Willis “Marty” Hickey, 84, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023.

Marty was a native and lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, Tenn., and the north Georgia area and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Rising Fawn United Methodist Church and was a well-known gospel/bluegrass singer with his late wife, Helen, as The Hickeys. They were inducted into the Northwest Georgia Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2008 and sang in many churches and festivals throughout the years.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Goldie Hickey, son, Charles Hickey; brothers, Michael and Steven Boyd; sister, Stephanie Boyd.

Survivors include his sons, Marty Hickey, Jr., of McDonald, Tenn., and Doug Hickey, of Flat Rock, Ala.; daughter, Angela Michelle Hickey, Higdon, Ala.; bonus children, Mark Raborn, Waterloo, Ill., Janet (David) Clayton, Rossville, Tracy (Wendy) Raborn, and Catherine (Wayne) Lamer, all of Aiken, S.C.; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 14 in the funeral home chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Mike King officiating. Interment was in Miller Cemetery, Rising Fawn, with full military honors.

RICHARD MCCLURE

Richard Columbus McClure, 79, of Rossville, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2022.

Richard was born July 9, 1943, to the late Charles and Emma Tucker McClure. Known as “King Pin,” he was an avid bowler and member of the Chattanooga Area Bowlers Association. Richard loved sports and his favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a proud and loving grandfather who constantly bragged about each of his many grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Richard McClure; and sister, Patricia Adkins.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Lucy McClure; daughters, Barbara Faulkenberry and Donna Wooten; grandchildren, Jennifer Wooten, Chad Wooten, Carrie West, Brad Turner, Tammy Barnes, Brent Faulkenberry, Tiffany Butler, Timothy Roy McClure, Tori McClure and Damion Lambert; 23 great-grandchildren and 41 great great-grandchildren; niece and nephew, Jill Adkins Mavity and Phillip Adkins.

Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 13, at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton with Pastor Ben Young officiating. Burial was at Mountain View Cemetery in Bryant, Ala.

JULIA PACE

Julia Elaine O’Dell Pace, 60, of Lookout Mountain, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023.

Elaine loved to work with flowers, cool, and take photos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Christine and James O’Dell; brothers Raymond Edward O’Dell, Garry Gene O’Dell and James Earl O’Dell.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Pace; son, Jameson Pace; daughter, Kristin O’Dell; four step-children; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Gene) Metheney of East Prairie, Mo., Karen (Charlie) Holder of East Prairie Mo., Christy (Vince) Bixler of Cape Girardeau Mo., and Sarah (Brad) Garner of Sikeston, Mo.; brothers, Donnie (Sissy) O’Dell of Sikeston, Mo., and Michael O’Dell of East Prairie Mo.
