JOYCE DOYLE
Joyce Faye Doyle, 51, of Trenton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2023.
Joyce was born July 3, 1971. She was one of the most loving and pure people that you would ever meet. She enjoyed listening to country music, playing games and loved her dogs. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Crystal Doyle; grandparents, Jacob and Ada Doyle.
Survivors include her mother, Ruby Doyle; brother, Jeff Doyle; aunts, Linda and Brenda Doyle; uncle, Ernest “Junior” Doyle; cousins and extended family members.
No formal services are planned at the funeral home.

RONNIE HALE
Ronnie Dee Hale, 75, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Saturday, Dec.3 1, 2022.
Ronnie was born to the late William and Rushia Hale on June 10, 1947, in Johnson City, Tenn. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Ronnie lived for a good many years in South Daytona, Fla., and was employed as an electronic technician for Bell South Telecommunications. He was happy living near the beach and the ocean where he loved to swim, scuba dive and just spend time with his feet in the sand. He attended First Baptist Church of South Daytona and was very active where he served as an ordained Deacon and several other capacities. Due to his health, it became necessary to relocate closer to his Tennessee and Alabama family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Linda Hale; children, Neil (Tina) Hale, Aaron Hale, Vickie (Keith) Sledge, Lacy (Alan) Gifford and Zachary (Ashton) Gifford; sister, Betty (Gary) Carson; grandchildren, Cody Hale, Courtney (Adam) Davis, Alex Hale, Lily Hale, Tiffany (John) Mendenhall, Stephanie Sledge, Amanda Sledge and Zelda Gifford; great-granddaughter, Hailey Rae Mendenhall; nieces, Jennifer (Aaron) Ayers, Jessica (Rob) Hallett and Joni Carson; and many relatives in the Johnson City, Tenn. area.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., ET Friday, Jan. 13 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Brother Andrew Jenkins officiating.

JOYCE MCGUIRE
Thelma Joyce McGuire, 82, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023.
Joyce was born to the late Andy and Ellamae Hicks on March 28, 1940, in Bryant, Ala. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outside gardening or doing yard work. Joyce also loved to cook and canned the bounty from her garden. She loved her dog, “Berkley” and her cats.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert “Buster” McGuire; son, Rupert Terry McGuire; siblings, Melba Cookston, Velma Campbell, and Glen Hicks.
Survivors include her grandson, Ryan McGuire; daughter-in-law, Cheryl McGuire; granddaughter, Candice White; great-grandchildren, Hunter McDowell, Brodie Carter, Daygen Dunn, and Gracelyn Dunn; brothers and sisters, Ricky and Tiny Hicks, David Hicks, Hazel and Robby Robertson, and Ruth White; brother in-law, Robert Cookston; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home today, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m., ET with Brother Wayne Winters officiating. Burial will follow in Straightway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 11 a.m., ET until the service hour.

TERESA MOON
Teresa Loy Moon, 57, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023 in a Knoxville, Tenn., hospital.
Teresa was born on May 17, 1965, in Parkersburg, W. Va., and spent most of her adult life in the Trenton area, having graduated from Northwest Georgia High School in 1983. She obtained her nursing degree from Gadsden State College and was employed most recently with Parkridge Health Systems in Chattanooga. She attended the Church of Christ and loved traveling to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Sara (Dustin) Welden of Flat Rock, Ala.; son, Alex Moon of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, McKenzie and Carter Welden; parents, Bill and Linda Hurst; brother, Doug (Angela) Hurst of New Braunfels, Texas; nieces, Isabella and Ana Sofia Hurst; cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 8, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dewayne Moon officiating.

MARGARET ROBERTSON
Margaret Marie Robertson, 57, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023.
Margaret was born to the late Windell and Patricia Robertson on Jan. 26, 1965, in Albertville, Ala. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, traveling to the beach and spending time with her family. Margaret was employed by Vanguard in Trenton and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Kian Yarber.
Survivors include her children, Anna (Aaron) Wallin and Michael (Heather Maclellen) Yarber; siblings, Connie (Larry) Leigh, Ronnie Robertson, Bryan (Melissa) Robertson and Craig Robertson; grandchildren, Gavin, Kaycee, Kaleb, Paisley and Oliver.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on a later date.

BRIAN SMITH
Brian Jay Smith, 50, of Wildwood, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2023.
He was born March 22, 1972 to Beula “Bea” Smith and the late, Roger J. Smith. Brian was a devoted husband, loving father, doting granddad, caring son, and friend to all who knew him. The meaning of his name suits him well: strong, virtuous and honorable. These traits defined his faith, work ethic, and hobbies. His smile was contagious, filling every room with laughter. He loved to fish, the beach and mountains. Brian had a unique gift to care for people who needed it most. Brian was a beloved member of LaFayette Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Kay Smith; sons, Michael “Colten” (Kristin) Gass, Matthew “Calum” (Eric) Gass, and Zackary Brian Smith; daughter, Kayla Hope Worley; grandson, Shane Gass; granddaughter, Macey Gass; mother, Bea Smith; brother, Kevin (Stephanie) Smith; sister, Amanda (DJ) Smith; nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life funeral will be Monday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Josh Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery in Trenton, with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 15, from 4 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

GEORGE WALKER
George William “G.W.” Walker, 58, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023.
He was born on July 19, 1964, in Whitwell, Tenn., to the late Thomas and Christina Patrick Walker and was a 1982 graduate of Whitwell High School. George began his lifelong career at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum at the young age of 16 and was involved with Norfolk Southern Steam program as a fireman, conductor, and engineer traveling the eastern seaboard. He met his wife in 1985 in Ashville, N.C., and became General Manager of TVRM in 1989. Mr. Walker was a member and elder at Silverdale Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mary A. Walker; children, Andrew William Walker and Aaron George Walker, all of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Thomas Charles “Charlie” Walker of Whitwell, Tenn.: sisters-in-law, Teresa, Nancy, Jeanne, and Mary Kay; brothers-in-law, Don, Gerry, Phil and Mark; nieces and nephews.
