RANDY HOLLAND

Steve Randy Holland, 67, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Sunday, Dec.4, 2022.

Randy was born to the late Charles “Mutt” and Alma Yancy Holland on Oct. 14, 1955.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Charles Edward “Tom” Holland and sisters, Connie Holland Scott and Charlotte Ann Holland.

Survivors include his wife, Farrah Smith Holland; sons, Steven Ellis and Johnathon Holland; daughter, Miranda (Eric) Franks; stepchildren, John McCoy, Keira McCoy and Jaiden Carruth; brother, Timothy (Susie) Holland; sisters, Sandra (Olin) Cornett and Pamela Holland; grandchildren, Maverick and Bridger Franks; nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In place of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating funds to help cover his final expenses.

RICKY PARRIS

Ricky Belton Parris, 67, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

Ricky was born to the late Belton and Nell Parris on April 5, 1955 in Spartanburg, S.C. He and his family relocated to Trenton in 1997 where he served as plant manager at International Wire Group until retirement. Ricky was loved by many and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Dottie Parris; son, Stewart (Melissa) Parris; grandsons, Hudson and Maverick Parris.

A Celebration of Life was Friday, Dec. 9, at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating.

CHRISTY SMITH

Christy Holifield Smith, 48, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022.

Christy was a 1992 graduate of Northwest Georgia High School and attended the United Church of God.  She was a loving mother and great friend to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith; parents, Gary and Unice Weathers Holifield, Leonard and Linda Jeffery; brothers, Jeff Jeffery and Chris Holifield; sister, Cheryl Little.

Survivors include her son, Chandler (Amanda Merino) Smith; sister, Amy Holifield Williams, all of Trenton; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life was Saturday, Dec. 10, at Trenton First Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Cantrell officiating.

LISA TOWNSEND

Lisa Conaway Townsend, 63, of Trenton, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

Lisa was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church attending the Bonny Oaks campus in Chattanooga, Tenn. She loved helping local and international missionaries across the globe. Lisa was retired from the Bank of Dade after 44 years of service in various roles, completing her service as vice president–bookkeeper in 2020. Lisa enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, gardening and loved spending time with her family. Lisa had several pet cats in her life, but loved her “Barney” cat.  Lisa truly loved her husband, Don, who provided 24/7 caregiving over the last years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pastor Stan Conaway; brother, Jeff Conaway; and niece, Natalie Hope Tomblin.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Don Townsend; mother, Glenda Conaway; siblings, Sherry Conaway Willingham, Greg (April) Conaway, Lori (Nathan) Tomblin and David (Lisa) Conaway; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 12, at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Crider and Brother Jerry Atkins officiating.
