CHARLES SHARP
Charles Grady Sharp, 81, of Cedar Bluff, Ala., passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022.
Charlie “Grady” was born Nov. 21, 1940, to the late Frank and Nora Sharp. He retired from Planters Snacks in Chattanooga, Tenn., after many years of work. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He passed down numerous hunting stories to his grandchildren that they will remember forever. He was a member of West Brow Free Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Freeman “Shorty” Sharp and Truman Earl Sharp; sister, Peggy Rollins.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Sharp; daughters, Cynthia Dianne (Donald) Harmon and Angie (Clint) Johnston; son, Rick Sharp; sister, Daisey Smith; brothers, Marcus “Duck” (Pat) Sharp, Glenn Sharp and Lamar (Lois) Sharp; grandchildren, Jeremiah Harmon, David Harmon, DeWayne Harmon, Matt (Laren) Harmon, Nicole Sharp, Zoey Sharp, Nick (Maria) Cloud, Holly White, Steven (Hailey) Johnston, Nichole Trahan and Ian Johnston; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Black and Steven Johnston officiating. Interment was at Mount Olive Cemetery in Lookout Mountain.
