ARCELL CLARK

Arcell Victoria Clark, 84, of Trenton, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2022.  Arcell was born July 12, 1938, to the late Alex and Vallie Mae Smith. She was a loving mother and sister who enjoyed reading, gardening, and flea marketing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Clarence Clark; sister, LeeDell Bethune; brothers, Verley, Harley, Thearl, and Gayron Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly (Brad) Edgeworth; sisters, Maybelle (Jimmy) Woods, Thala (David) Segee, Theda (Joe) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Arbutice Smith and Sandra Pritchett; brother-in-law, Darwyn Bethune; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022 at Poplar Springs Cemetery with Brother Jason Carlson officiating.

JOE GOFF

Joe Billy Goff, 90, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022.

Joe Bill owned and operated Goff Sprinkler and Plumbing and lived in St. Elmo for 40 years before relocating to Sand Mountain. He had lots of friends in the Lookout Valley and Chattanooga, Tenn., areas.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Monta Goff and Yvonne Goff; sons, Glenn Goff and Joey Goff; parents, Monroe and Bessie Goff; and sister, Peggy Hornbuckle.

Survivors include his sons, Roy Goff and Matt Goff; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Haggard and Betty Haggard; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 3. Interment was at Payne Gap Cemetery.

HUGH OUZTS

Hugh Harper Ouzts, 91, of Trenton, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2022.

Hugh was born April 24, 1931, in Mathiston, Mass., to the late Walter and Nell Ouzts. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Mr. Ouzts retired as a supervisor from Dupont in Chattanooga, Tenn., after 35 years of service. He was a lifetime member of VFW 1289 and attended Calvary Chapel in Chattanooga, Tenn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean Ouzts.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Gass Shirley Ouzts; children, Michael Rhett (Brenda) Ouzts, Stephen Bradley Ouzts, Sheila (Michael) Parkerson, Kat (Billy) Gass, Michael (Eva) Gass, Randy Gass and Ward (Efrain) Gass; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
