Town Creek Trail Expansion Continues

Work is being done on another phase of Town Creek Trail. According to project organizer Jennifer Blair, this project is being coordinated by Scenic Dade (501c3), a local nonprofit organization. It is made possible by the support of the City of Trenton and Dade County, as well as other property owners. This second phase of trail installation includes a walking path between Town Creek and Citizens Bank and Trust and the Courts Facility, between Main Street and Wolverine Drive. The initial phase connects existing sidewalks in Jenkins Park and along Main Street, between Town Creek and the parking lot adjacent the Scout Building (where the mural is being painted), providing pedestrian access to the park from downtown Trenton. J McDowell Construction Company, from Lookout Mountain, is working on this phase of the work.
