Hickey Announces Candidacy

My name is Patrick Hickey and I’m announcing my candidacy for County Commissioner District 2.

I live in the New Home area on Sand Mountain with my wife of eight years and two children. I work full-time as a delivery driver for FedEx in Chattanooga, Tenn., and I’m also a volunteer firefighter for the New Home and Davis Fire Departments.

I’m running for county commissioner because I’m tired of the same old way of thinking that’s kept our county from improving and moving forward. I would love to see more industry jobs come into the county but not just any industry, I want to see industries that offer living wages, so families don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck.

Dade County is known for its small town feeling but we can have improvement and growth in the county while still holding onto that feeling.

On May 24th I’m asking for your vote so I can hit the ground running and work hard for the citizens of Dade County because I love it here and I know we can do better which is why I’m running!
