JOHN BRUCE
John Patrick Bruce, 78, of Rising Fawn, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
He was a retired truck driver and drove for Crete Carriers for a number of years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, John and Patricia Lee Bruce; sister, Roberta Newman.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carol Yates Bruce, Rising Fawn; daughter, Carolyn Denice Bruce, Rising Fawn; sons, Brian (Jeannie) Bruce, Trenton, Thomas (Tina) Bruce, Trenton, and Steven (Debbie) Bruce, Trenton; grandchildren, Patrick Bruce, Makayla Bruce, Ashley (Ben) Patton, Emily (Caleb) Everett, McKenzie Bruce, Olivia Bruce, and Eli Bruce; brothers, Jimmy (Sandy) Bruce, Ringgold, and Larry (Brenda) Bruce, Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Sandra (Jim) McClure, Hixson, Tenn.; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Saturday March 26 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Rev. Billy Joe Conner officiating.

WILLIAM CARROLL
William Larry Carroll, 67, of Rossville, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022.
He was born Jan. 13, 1955.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mattie Lou Harris Carroll; grandson, Jackson William Gonzales; sisters, Carolyn Burgess, Willie Walker, Kathy Mitchell, and Sharon Carroll; brother, Ronnie Carroll; special friend, Marry Perry.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Angela; children, Shicole Carroll Gonzales (Esdras/Mario) of Rossville, Joshua (Nichole) Carroll of Cleveland, Tenn., and Jacob (Halie) Carroll of Rossville; grandchildren, Lanie, Miguel, Reece, Logan, Emma and Oaklynn; brothers, Robert Carroll of Chickamauga and Edward Carroll of LaFayette; special nieces, Katie Mitchell, LaFayette and Robbi Cline, Fairbank, Alaska;nieces and nephews; best friends, Tammy Lee, Judy Payne, Cindy Newman, and Sherry Bicknell.

Funeral services were Monday, March 21 at Revival Baptist Church in Chickamauga. Interment was at Center Point Cemetery.

KELLY MCCOY
Kelly McCoy, 59, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
She was born May 21, 1963, as Kate Echols. She was the midday radio personality for KZ–106. She loved classic rock, was an avid reader and loved adventures.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Layne Petersen Echols.
Survivors include her cousins, Layne Hieb of Minnesota and Marta Petersen of Utah.

STEVEN PAYNE
Steven Doyle Payne, 75 of Valley Head, Ala., passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022.
Mr. Payne served in the Air Force under the 820th CES squad, Red Horse Division and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a Civil Engineer and carpenter where he owned his own framing company before becoming superintendent for Raines Brothers Construction.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Virginia Payne; brothers, Jimmy and Mike Payne; sisters, Sharon and Sheila.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolin Payne, son, Jason Payne; daughter Stephanie Payne Ungate.
A memorial service was Wednesday, May 23 at Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment was Thursday with full military honors at the Chattanooga National Cemetery

RONNY RINGER
Ronald “Ronny” Duane Ringer, 84, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Monday, March 21, 2022.
He was born Jan. 1, 1938, to the late Gilbert and Adeline Ringer. He loved the Lord and served Him faithfully at Floral Crest Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ronny also enjoyed green house gardening, flowers, and birds.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rachel Ford.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Laura Ringer; daughters, Sonya (Don) Davis and Tammy (Keith) Tiffin; sons, Randy (Aming) Ringer and Bert (Rhonda) Ringer; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Nancy) Ringer; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 27 at the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Ringer and Pastor Jason Carlson officiating. Interment was at Floral Crest Cemetery.

LAURA ROBINSON
Laura Lee Robinson, 73, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022.
Sister Laura Lee enjoyed working in her garden. She was a faithful member of Stevenson Free Holiness Church. She started serving the Lord at a very young age. Laura was a loving mother, wife, and caregiver to all those in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Robinson; parents, Arthur and Gustie Brown; sisters, Estelle Martin, Jewel Freeman, Emma Freeman, Odell White, Illean Lowery, Ethel Shrader and Annie Oney; brothers, Amos Brown, Willis Brown, William Brown, Herbert Freeman and Alfies Brown.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammy (Lynell) Higdon and Danielle (Billy) Young; brother, Emmery (Joyce) Brown; sisters, Dorothy Wooten and Faye Edmonds; grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren) Young, Derrick (Tristan) Higdon, Caleb (Hannah) Young, Stuart (Kristen) Higdon and Anna Young; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Higdon, Henry Young, Hayden Higdon, and Mila Young.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 20 at Stevenson Free Holiness Church with Brother Michael Clark and Brother Edwin Spurgeon officiating. Interment was at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

SCOTT SHRADER
Curtis Scott Shrader, 54, of Trenton, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022.
If you were fortunate enough to spend any time with Scott, you would learn that his two sons were his pride and joy. He spent his childhood traveling many places as the son of a Navy Chief Petty Officer First Class (ret.). He was born on Naval Base Rota, Spain, and lived in several different cities before settling down in Trenton. Scott was passionate about sports, as he wrote sports columns for the Dade County Sentinel for many years. He enjoyed coaching his sons’ teams and watching them flourish. More than anything, the love for his sons and his community was endless. Scott never met a stranger, and always made a friend wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Esther Shrader.
Survivors include his sons, Capt. Andrew (Amelia) Shrader of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Bryson Shrader of Trenton; granddaughter, Sophia Shrader; brother, Shawn (Miranda) Shrader, Trenton; sister, Mechelle Rollins; nephews, Msgt. Patrick Rollins, Marc Rollins, Matthew Shrader and Daniel Shrader.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dade Health and Rehab and to Scott’s close friends who have been angels to him during these last few difficult years.
Funeral services were Monday, March 28 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton with Brother Jeff Daniels officiating. Interment was at Baptist Cemetery.
