JAMES ASH
James Arther Ash, 89, of Henagar, Ala., passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2022. James was a retired truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolley Lee and Martha Reta May Moore Ash; wife, Shirley Jean Ash, and son, James Michael Ash.
Survivors include his grandson, James Anthony (Kathy) Ash, Silverhill, Ala., great-grandchildren, John Ash, Annaleigh Ash, and Chloe Ash.
Graveside services were Monday, Feb. 21 in Lake Hills Memorial Garden with Rev. Eddie Cantrell officiating.

DELMA LEE BLACK
Delma Lee Black, 83, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022.
Delma Lee was born March 2, 1938 to the late Arvle and Jenny York. She was a member of Trinity Holiness Church. Delma Lee was known for the kindness and love she showed to everyone. Her love for God and family were her priorities. She and her family spent many weekends camping, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. She was the postal carrier on the Lookout Mountain, Ga., mail route for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “J.L” Black; granddaughter, Deandra Shaver; son in-law, Timothy Ray Parker; brothers, Raymond, Lloyd, Arvle, Harold and Darvin York.
Survivors include her children, Aubrey (Jo) Black, Annette Anderson and Janice Kay Parker; siblings, Patricia Bailey, Freda (Larry) Wooten, Charles (Brenda) York and Bill (Buelah) York; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 18 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eartie Veal, Brother Mark Finlayson and Brother Ronnie Case officiating. Interment was at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

MARILYN CHRISTOPHER
Marilyn Gayle Clark Christopher, 84, of Trenton, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2022.
Mrs. Christopher was preceded in death by her husband, Willis O. Christopher.

LOIS FLARITY
Lois Giles Flarity, 92, of Trenton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022.
Mrs. Flarity was of the Church of God faith and was a member of the Rising Fawn Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Callie Viola Belcher; first husband, John S. Giles; second husband, Hugh C. Flarity; daughter, Linda King.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue Williams, Rising Fawn, Benita Young, Higdon, Ala., Tammy (Gary) West, Higdon, Ala., Marie Jackson, Stevenson, Ala., and Jennifer (Joe) Graham, Trenton; sons, Henry (Diane) Giles, Ider, Ala., Marshall (Diane) Giles, Trenton, Gary (Caren) Giles, Chickamauga; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 22 in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hagler officiating. Interment was in Hannah Cemetery,

JOSEPH REGISTER
Joseph Xavior Register, 52, of Higdon, Ala. went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2022. He was born May 1st, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to the late Rayford Walton and JoAnn Jones Register. He was a hardworking man that loved fishing and a collector of old guns and many other things. He loved family time, bonfires and tinkering with automobiles. He always told his sister he loved her.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Karen Register; grandmother Desland Culpepper; grandfather Walton Register; aunt Rebecca Coffman; brother Forrest Anthony Smith, Michael Register Shane Register; sister Angela Smith Crumpton; step-son Roger Long; niece in-law Christina O’Toole Register; nephew Austin Ray Register.
Survivors include sons Levi Preston (Heather) Register of Astor, Fla., Derek Allen Register of Higdon, Ala., Cody Alexander Register Ohio/Ala.; grandchildren Layla, Xavior and Katie Register; step-daughter Amanda (Charles) Long; granddaughter Raven; sister in-law Jennifer (Kari & Ari) of Fla.; sisters, Samantha Demay Register of Ohio, Sonja Nelson, Vicky Register Fulkerson (John); niece Tiffany LeeAnn Register Manning of Ashtabula, Ohio, Jessica (Kaiden) Nelson of Brewton, Ala. Katrina Elana; nephews Joey Weaver Christopher and Joshua Crumpton and their family of Ala.; brothers Johnny Ray Swehosky of Fla., Ernesto Ruiz (wife and three daughters) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Micheal Anthony Tipton; nephews Vance and Vaughn of Columbus, Ohio; aunt Susan (Uncle Gene) Collier of Sanford, Fla.; cousins Angela Stephen Jennifer Collier of Fla.; cousin Daniel and Stephanie Coffman and their children; cousin Tina (Mike) Whaley of Montgomery, Ala.; best friends Chris Loveland of Ashtabula, Ohio, Sammy of Higdon, Ala. and Chris Berry of Tenn.; friends and coworkers at Koch Foods in Higdon, Ala.
A celebration of life will be schedule on a late date at Joe’s house.

JESSIE WEATHERS
Jessie Thomas Weathers, 73, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022.
He was born March 20, 1948, to Lee and Doris Weathers. Jessie loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Outdoor activities were among his favorite – hunting, fishing, and sitting on the front porch watching his hummingbirds.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Weathers; sons, Jessie Thomas Weathers, Jr., and Jessie Nathaniel Weathers.
Survivors include his daughters, Donna (Tommy) Cordell, Bryant, Ala., Dee Dee (Kenny) Bishop, Flat Rock, Ala., and Deborah (George) Peters, Trenton; grandchildren, Tiffany Shrader, Katie Cordell, Colton Peters, William Peters, Joseph Peters, Hunter Bishop, and Haley Bishop; step-grandchildren, Kenneth Bishop III and Scharee Moore; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannie Byrd, Theresia (Gary) Beck, Sadie Leverett, Faye (Jack) Leverett, Ginger (Jerry) Scruggs, Barbara (Alan) Wallin, and Lizzie (Roger) Ginn; brothers, Tony (Wanda) Weathers, Joe (Patsy) Weathers, Bobby (Brenda) Weathers, and Marion (Debbie) Weathers; nieces and nephews.
