LANTHAN DODSON

James Lanthan Dodson, 59, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022.

He was born June 22, 1962, to Larry and the late Flora Lee Dodson. Lanthan was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs and Dade County sports fan. He loved traveling to Pigeon Forge to ride the trolley and often visited the Ocoee River to walk the Olympic Bridge. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Geraldine Dodson, Homer and Willie Mae Wilbanks; and uncles, Steve Dodson, Charles Wilbanks and Leon Wilbanks.

Survivors include his father, Larry (Shirley) Dodson; sisters, Beverly Wildman and Tanya Geddie; nieces and nephews, Hunter Wildman, Lauren Southern, Caleb Wheeler, Madison Geddie, Jada Geddie and Dylan Geddie.

Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 12 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Ted Camp officiating. Interment was at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

WINSTON MCBRYAR

Winston Ervin McBryar, 79, of Trenton, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2022.

Winston was born July 3, 1942, in Jackson County, Ala., to Harvey and the late Evelyn McBryar. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Charlotte McBryar; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Shrum; father, Harvey McBryar; brother, Jimmy (Betty) McBryar; granddaughter, Jordain Shrum; great-grandson, Jonathon Isaac Skiles.

A celebration of life was Saturday, Feb. 12 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

ERVILEEN PICKETT

Ervileen Carlotta Pickett, 75, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022.

Mrs. Pickett was a member of Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene and retired from Sather’s Candy and DuPont of Chattanooga, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Aileen Scoggins McDonough; brother, Gerald McDonough; sisters, Wanda Purr and Deborah Keylon; daughter, Stacy Howard.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary E. (Don) Hammons, Hixson, Tenn.; son, Jeffery (Heather) Pickett, Jr., Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Doug (Patty) McDonough, Wichita, Kansas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 12in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Crane officiating.

ALICE WILLIAMS

Alice Lee Williams, 64, of Henagar, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022.

Alice was born Nov. 20, 1957, to the late Charles and Lillie Williams. She loved life and her family. Alice was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Patsy Renea Browder and Linda Gail Williams; brother, Paul Williams.

Survivors include her son, Jason (Andrea) Witt; brother, Perry (Donna) Williams; sister, Tammy Lucille Harris; grandson, J. D. Witt; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was Friday, Feb. 11 at Head Springs Cemetery in Valley Head, Ala.

CHRIS WRIGHT

Christopher (Chris) James Wright, 49, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10. He was born July 14, 1972 to Jimmy and Dona Wright. A very hard worker, Chris loved spending leisure time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and star gazing. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

Preceding him in death was his son, Caleb James Wright; grandparents Talmadge and Icey Wright and Grover and Clara Crocker.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Kayli Wright; son, Tyler Wright; brother, Curtis (Stephanie) Wright; niece and nephew, Sydney and Gavin Wright.

Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 13 in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Jonathan Witt and Brother Brad Talley officiating. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
