WANDA DANIELS
Wanda Jane Daniels, age 70, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021.
Wanda was a hard worker from early years of hauling produce to helping her husband tend the crop fields. She loved to cook for her family and at one point in her life she owned a small restaurant in Hammondville, Ala., but she felt strongly that spending time with her grandbabies was more precious than her dream of owning her own business so she decided to give it up and to make memories in the kitchen with her family. Her grandchildren often share stories of “baking” with NaNa when they visited and talk about how unforgettable those moments were for them. Mrs. Daniels loved her Bible and she enjoyed going to church with her kids and grandkids when she was able and could often be found surrounded by people that needed the comfort and wisdom that she was able to give to them in their time of need.
She was preceded in death by Donnie “Biscuit” Daniels; her father, Melvin Porter; mother, Nellie Porter; brothers, J.D, Wendell, Therman (Cotton), and Leon Porter; sisters, Linda Faye Porter and Evelyn Tishaw.
Survivors include her sons, Donald (Sonya) Daniels, Mitchell Daniels, and Harold (Stacie) Daniels; daughter, Christy Ellis; sisters, Arthell Johnson and Teresa Young; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
