Rising Fawn Studio Tour Is This Weekend

This year’s Rising Fawn Studio Tour will feature Cayce Creations, Lookout Mountain Pottery, Silk by Claire and St. Nicks by Nick.

The annual Rising Fawn Studio Tour, a chance to visit local artists and shop their wares, will be Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4-5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cayce Creations is featuring the work of Anna Cayce Smit, Bonnie Cayce and Kate Cayce Fisher.

Anna Cayce Smit repurposes vintage chains, watches, beads and more, giving them new life. Copper, brass and semi-precious stones are used in her unique pieces.

Bonnie Cayce quilts decorative and functional textile art. Ethnic, collectible and vintage fabrics are used as well as recycled materials and embellishments.

Kate Cayce Fisher’s unique work includes items such as scarves, tunics and smaller items decorated with hand painting.

Mark Issenberg at Lookout Mountain Pottery makes functional stoneware to use in your home. The ash glaze mimics nature’s pallet. Lookout Mountain Pottery is located at 3005 Plum Nelly Road and can be reached at (706) 398-3232.

Claire Vassort, at Silk by Claire features hand-painted silks which find purpose in frames, lanterns, and scarves. High quality matted prints and greeting cards are also available. Silk by Claire is located at 660 South Moore Road and can be reached at (423) 243-7699.

Nikki Oliver, at St. Nicks by Nick, hand carves and paints Santas, angels, and other figures from wood and other materials. Small to large pieces are included. St. Nicks by Nick is located at 436 South Moore Road and can be reached at (706) 398-1843.
