PAIGE CLARK

Samantha Paige Fry Clark, 29, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021.

Paige was born Nov. 30, 1991, to Chris Fry and Jamie Schreyer. She was a beautiful lady with a personality that would light up the room. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Paige was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Dickie Fry and Johnny Waldrop, and her aunt, Sheila Sue Lowe.

Survivors include her husband, Kyle Clark; children, Bailey Clark, Ashton Clark and Justice Fry; father, Chris (Hadassah) Fry; mother, Jamie (Jimmy) Schreyer; sisters, Christy (Eddie) McCloud, Kaitlin Fry, Emma Fry and Hope Fry; grandmothers, Deborah Waldrop and Charlotte Fry; nieces, Marley and Maddie McCloud.

Funeral services will be today, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m., ET at the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 11 a.m., until the funeral hour.

TERRY CUTTS

Terry Wayne Cutts, 72, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021.

Mr. Cutts was retired from T.V.A. as a construction worker and was a member of the Lookout Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Veal Cutts; son, Tyson Wayne Cutts; daughter, Cheryl Pryor; parents, James Franklin and Mildred Nadine Fults Cutts.

Survivors include his grandsons, Travis (Ashley) Cutts, and Tyler (Bree) Cutts of Lookout Mountain; granddaughters, Jessica Pryor Blevins of Ft. Payne, Ala., and Jennifer Pryor Rice of Chickamauga; daughter-in-law, Marie Cutts, Piedmont, Ala.; sisters, Christina Galion of Nashville, Tenn., and Sherry Jane Cryee of Rossville; great-grandchildren, Adam, Kyle, Jed and Waylon Jo.

Graveside services were Sunday, Nov. 28 at the Ascalon Cemetery with Bro. Alvin Cummings officiating.

RAYMOND POWERS, JR.

Raymond Eric Powers, Jr., 83, of Lookout Mountain, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021 due to complications of COVID–19.

Raymond was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Feb. 27, 1938, was a graduate of Central High School, Massey Business College, and Carraway School of Nursing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam, and was a member of Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Holt Powers; mother, Edna Jo Bettis; sons, R. Eric (Laura) Powers, III, and Henry “Hank” Bettis (Brecca) Powers; grandchildren, Benjamin Eric, Katherine Ann, Lucy Elizabeth, Sydney Adair, Emalyn Mae Qing, Myla Grant, Henry Gibson, and Cortland Holt Powers; sister-in-law, Debbie (John) Pataky; niece, Missy (Jimmy) Bryant.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church or the Payne’s Chapel cemetery fund, 68 Harley Drive, Lookout Mountain, GA  30750.

WAFFORD VEAL

Wafford Ray Veal, 67, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.

He was a longtime resident of Lookout Mountain and he never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear. He loved a good joke, a good game of chess, making music, sitting around the fire, and his family – especially his daughters and his grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Veal.

Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Veal (Jason Craven), and Julie Stults (Colby); grandsons, Colby Stults II and Deacon Stults; mother of his children and friend, Julie Watson; mother, Bernice Veal, and sisters, Connie Smitherman (Dean) and Robin Nordquist (Kim).

Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 28 in the funeral home chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Erttie Veal officiating.
