DEBORAH LeCROY

Deborah Crocker LeCroy, 65, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.

She loved puzzle books, soap operas, and her fur baby Ginger. Deborah was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church in East Lake where she shared her love of gospel music as pianist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lou Crocker.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Allen LeCroy; brothers, Lynn Crocker and Josh Garrison; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 4 in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Brad Bridges and Brother Brad Talley officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

DESMOND PHILLIPS

Desmond K. Phillips, 79, of Ft. Oglethorpe, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021.

Mr. Phillips was born June 15, 1942, in Wolf Mountain, N.C. to the late John B. and Elzie Phillips and was of the Baptist faith. He worked for the Buccaneer Spinning Mill (now Mohawk) in Fort Oglethorpe and retired with over 35 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Grover, Hoyle, Bruce, Conrad, and Norwood Phillips, and sisters, Irene Smith, Roasalee Horsburgh, and Noracella Gifford.

Survivors include his special friend and caregiver, Virginia Knox; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Thursday, Sept. 2 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Bro. Eddie Cantrell officiating.

WILMA WICHMAN

Wilma Jean Wichman, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021. She was born Feb. 17, 1943 to Forrest and Hazel Womack in Denver, Co.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 58 years, Warwick Wichman.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Loyd and her husband Chris of Brookhaven, Miss., Donna Rush and Dawn Wichman, both of Bryant, Ala.; grandchildren, Alea Williams, Casey Williams, Holly Loyd, Zachary Loyd and his wife Carley, and Jacob Rush; great–grandchildren, Camden Thornhill, Shelby Thornhill, Haze Loyd, Rhett Loyd and Saylor Loyd, and baby Loyd coming in April; brother, Glenn Womack of Chattanooga, Tenn., nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral services because she would have absolutely hated the attention. The family asks that those who knew her reflect on memories of her quick wit, infectious laughter, and her ability to make everyone around her feel special.

JAMES WRIGHT

James Monroe Wright, 79, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who cherished his family and friends. James loved farming and mowing. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and North Sand Mountain Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Annie Lou Wright; granddaughter, Aubrianna Jade Deerman; and brother, Robert Wright.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Delray Dobbins Wright; daughter, Sandra (Jeff) Wright Deerman; grandchildren, Tyler Wright, Austin Deerman, and Kaden Deerman; sisters, Patricia Ann (Bobby) White, Barbara (Dennis) York, Martha Sue (Leon) Wright; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 5 at Moore Funeral Home in Bryant, Ala., with Brother Glenn York and Brother Jimmy Hixon officiating. Interment was at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
