Norris Qualifies For City Election

Former city police officer Mike Norris qualified for a city commissioner seat and will run against Trenton Police Commissioner incumbent Kirk Forshee, who also qualified. Current Parks and Recreation Commissioner Terry Powell qualified and will run unopposed. A term is four years long.

The election will be Tuesday, Nov. 2nd. Advanced voting will be Oct. 12-16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 18-23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 25-29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. These dates include two Saturdays. All city voters will vote at the Dade County Administrative Building.

In addition, city voters will be able to vote on distilled package sales, Sunday sales by the drink, and Sunday package sales.
