BARRY BUFFINGTON
Barry Vincent Buffington, 65, of Ft. Oglethorpe, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13th, 2021. He was born Dec. 23, 1955, to the late Leon and Jo Buffington. Barry enjoyed his lifelong career in retail sales with Sears and most recently Bass Pro Shops. He enjoyed watching Nascar and spending time with family.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their great appreciation to Parkridge Medical Staff and Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and compassion for Barry and their family.

Juanita Arlene Cannon, 49, of Rising Fawn, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021. She was a devoted daughter, mother, wife and sister who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Elrod and husband, Alan Taylor
She is survived by her loving family, husband, Anthony Cannon; sons, Peyton Elrod and Christopher Debter; grandson, Lincoln Elrod; mother, Thelma Elrod; sisters, Rhonda (Vernell) Johnson and Newana (Randy) Boles; stepson, Alex Cannon; step-daughter, Kendra Kanady.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 16 in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Rex Mayo officiating. Interment was at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

RUTH DEAN
Ruth Dean, 89, of New Salem, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Ruth was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She loved her flowers and, along with her family, had a vegetable garden that helped feed her neighbors and friends. After retiring from Rock City Gardens she enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Dean Sr.; great-grandson, Wayne Nave; parents, John and Mary Lastinger; sister, Gladys Kuhnert, and brother, Woodrow Lastinger.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (Tony) Skiles; sons, David “Dave” (Marcheta) Dean, Jr., Ron (Angie) Dean, and Kenny Nave; grandchildren, Jesse (Megan) Skiles, Ryan (Liz) Dean, Kyle Dean, Brittany (Thomas) Lyons, Aaron (Allison) Dean, Lindsay (Alan) Clayton, Alison (Zach) Mitchell; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha Moore; special friend, Dean Lowrance.
Graveside services will be Friday, Feb. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Brother Jim Hixon officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their professional and loving care of Mrs. Ruth during this time. They were the best.

RANDY MONTE
Randy Allen Monte, 50, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021.
He loved to spend time with family and friends, especially his grandbabies. Randy enjoyed listening to music and working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his father in-law, Kenneth Conway and granddaughter, Nevaeh Gail Monte.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Brenda Monte; parents, George Monte and Beverly Turner; daughter, Sarah (Jeremy) LittleJohn; son, Randy Monte Jr.; sister, Crystal Turner; brothers, Greg Monte, Christopher Turner, Cody Turner, Kenneth Conway Jr., Charles Conway and David Conway; grandchildren, Saveda Grace Monte and Randy Allen Monte III.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 16 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Interment was in Boydston Cemetery in Lookout Valley, Tenn.

GLEN WHITLEY
Glen R. Whitley, of Trenton, born July 23, 1947, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at his home.
Glen was the song leader at Sand Mountain United Methodist Church. He was a proud United States Army Vietnam War Veteran and was part of the first graduating class of North Sand Mountain in 1965.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and W.R. Whitley; daughter, Kelly Dawn Whitley and granddaughter, Natalie Jane Whitley; brothers, Ralph Whitley Jr., Johnnie Lee Whitley; sister, Kathryn Vance.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Frances Snapp Whitley; son, Shane (Jessica) Whitley; daughter, Juria Sitz; grandchildren, Jeffery (Kelsey) Sitz, Kimberly Whitley, Michael Whitley, Kayleah Whitley; great–grandchild, Adalyn Sitz; brothers and sisters, Joe (Jackie) Whitley, Carol Sharpton, Douglas Whitley, Calvin Whitley, Charles Whitley, Helen (Steve) Townson, Stanley (Lisa) Whitley, Marlene (Michael) Buff; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be today, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Williams and Reverend Chris Dover officiating. Interment will be at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m., until 1 p.m.

LEE WILLIAMS
Lee Raymond Williams, 81, of Wildwood, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2021.
Mr. Williams was a veteran on the U.S. Army, retired welder from T.V.A., and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Williams; son, Bryan Williams of Wildwood, GA; daughters, Linda (Greg) Daniels, and Debbie Phillips, all of Jasper, Tenn.; step-daughter, Teresa Williams of Florida; brothers, Doug and Roger Williams, El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with interment to follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be given by American Legion Post #106.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory, Trenton.
