MARY ADAMS
Mary Jim Adams, age 91, of East Ridge, Tenn., passed away at her residence Jan. 26, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Adams, and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Melvin Hambright, Michael Hambright, and Wesley Adams; four grandchildren.

RICKY BURTON
Ricky Deryl Burton, 58, of LaFayette, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.
A career truck driver, which was what he enjoyed. He loved his family, had a passion for playing the guitar, riding motorcycles and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Burton and brother, Barry E. Burton.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Eaker; daughter, Devanee M. Burton; son, Ricky D. Burton, Jr.; sister, Sherry Cooper; brothers, Charles Burton and Mike Burton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 29 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Luke Camlic officiating. Burial was in Hawkins Cemetery.

CLARA HICKS
Clara Mae “Sadie” Hicks, 80, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at her home.
Mrs. Hicks was retired from Burner Systems International of Chattanooga. She was a member of Harris Chapel Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lige and Lillie Mae McElhaney Wooten; brothers, Junior Wooten and Walter Wooten; sisters, Margaret Floyd and Shirley Cope.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy “Rudy” Hicks of Chattanooga; son, Rodney (Yvette) Hicks; grandchildren, Rina Griffin and Brittany Griffin Miller; great-grandchildren, Madison Miller and Karston Miller; sister, Edith Pangle of Ider, Ala.; brothers, Kenneth Wooten of Trenton, Leroy Wooten of Wildwood and Earl Wooten of Scottsboro, Ala.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be today, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Renshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Payne Gap Cemetery.

JOHN JOHNSON
John D. Johnson, 82, of Rising Fawn, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Rising Fawn United Methodist Church and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years and was deployed to Vietnam in 1966-1967.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dixie Johnson.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Susan Johnson; son, David (Anita) Johnson; daughter, Donna (Tony) Baker; son, Dale Johnson; sister, Wanda Baker; grandchildren, John, Sydney, Alex, Emily, Breanne, Caitlyn, and Brett; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with honors provided by the U.S. Air Force. Rev. Will Garrett and Rev. Mike King will officiate.

Audun Drew Prince, 20, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26. 2021.
Audun was a graduate of Gulf Shores High School and was employed with Ready2Hangart in Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Jackie Prince, and maternal grandfather, David Schubert.
Survivors include his parents, Chris Prince of Chattanooga, Tenn., and mother, Kristine (Wesley) Ellenburg of Gulf Shores, Ala.; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Schubert, Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Audrey Drury of Mentone, Ala., and Aulley Prince of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Austin Prince, Trenton; step-sisters, Krissy Lynch of Trenton, Megan Ellenburg of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Brooke Ellenburg of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; step-brother, Nicholas Eacret, Trenton; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 29 in the funeral home chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating. A private family interment was in Brown’s Gap Cemetery.

WANDA ROBINSON
Wanda Sue Robinson, 77, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021.
She was always a Stay-at-home Mom who raised her children. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Robinson; daughter, Susan Carruth, son, Yual Wallace, Jr.; parents, John and Zelma Day Guinn; sisters, Judy Williams and Alta Mae Guinn; brothers, R. L. Guinn, and Vernon Guinn.
Survivors include are daughters, Tammy Holt, Jasper, Tenn., and Rena Carruth and William Hunnicutt, Trenton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 2 in the funeral home chapel with Rev Jackie Sexton officiating. Interment was in Lakewood Memory Gardens West.

BELINDA ROONEY
Belinda Skyles Rooney, 60, of Trenton, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021.
She was born Oct. 8, 1960, to the late Isabell Hall and Luther Skyles, was of the Baptist faith, and retired from the Dade County School System.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Rooney; daughters, Shandy Avans of Trenton, and Nicole (Mark) Koehler of Atlanta; granddaughters, Chelsea and Savannah Blackmon of Trenton, and Crimson (Luke) Jones of Rowell; grandsons, Timothy (Shelby) Avans of LaFayette, and Luke Evans of Bryant, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Xander Blackmon of Trenton, and Skyler Blackmon of LaFayette; sister, Rita (Jess) Morgan of Rising Fawn, Rhonda Stafford of Flintstone, and Lisa Skyler of Rossville; brothers, Michael (Patty), Mickey (Joyce), and Eugene Skyles, all of Rossville, and Gabe Skyles of Soddy Daisy; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 1 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Eddie Cantrell officiating. Interment was in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

ELAINE SLOAN
Elaine Asquith Sloan, 84, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021.
She was born Nov. 30, 1936, to the late Boyce Larry and Anna Ruth Asquith in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and of the Christian faith. She was a very artistic woman who played the piano and organ. She loved to read, draw, write and sew. More than anything, Elaine loved spending time with her precious family.
Survivors include her husband, John Henry Sloan; sons, Joel and Guy Sloan; daughters, Cyndi Millican, Joni Houts, Melissa Holmes, Jackye Bohr and Cyndi Hamner; brother, Michael Carroll; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 27 in the funeral home chapel area with Pastor Lee Nash officiating. Interment was at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
