ROBERT DODSON

Robert Eugene Dodson, age 90, of Hixson, Tenn., passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2020.

He was a loving father, grandfather, veteran and businessman. He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Davis, and his wife of 59years, Eloise Pennington Dodson.

Survivors include sons, Jeff Dodson and his wife, Lara, and Kevin Dodson; grandchildren, Britton, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Christian, Jeffery, Madeleine, Gretchen, Harrison, Autumn, and Reagan; great–grandson, Robert Jeffery Dodson III.

Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery on Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn. Funeral services will delayed due to the global pandemic but a memorial will be held at a later date.

GORDON FORESTER, JR.

Hugh “Gordon” Forester, Jr., 87, of Head River, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6.

Born March 17, 1933, he was the son of Hugh and Gertrude Ross Forester. Other than his two years in the army and briefly in Chattanooga, Tenn., Gordon lived his entire life on Lookout Mountain, mostly at Head River where he enjoyed his farm. Until his retirement, he worked in various machine shops in Chattanooga and Dalton. He was a member of Head River Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanette Moore Forester; sons, Michael and Terry Forester; sisters, Mary Lou Schrock, Elizabeth Davis, and Janie Mathews.

Survivors include his son, Steve Forester, of Head River; daughter-in-law, Betty Forester, of Head River; grandchildren, Tamra (Ricky) Pendergrass, Kiara Forester, of Head River, Jeff (Whitney) Forester of Rossville, and Breanna Forester (Rashad Pounders) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Cailie and Sarah Pendergrass and Faith Forester; sister, Doris Cler.

The family wishes to thank the personnel of North Georgia Home Health of Trenton and Tapestry Hospice for their years of diligent care.

Memorial services were Thursday, Dec. 10 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Wallin and Steve Forester officiating. Burial was in the Forester Memorial Cemetery at Head River.

DAMA JACKSON

Dama Lee Allison Jackson, 82, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.

Mrs. Jackson attended Tiftonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Lee and Patty Posey Allison; husband, Elmer Ray Jackson; son, Billy White; brothers, Telford, Ray, and Perry Don Allison.

Survivors include her sons, Donnie (Gloria) White of Chattanooga, Tenn., Ronnie (Teresa) White of Flat Rock, Ala., Jerry Don (Vicki) Jackson, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Frank Jackson and Gene Allison, both of Chattanooga; brothers, Wilson Allison, Chickamauga, Dean Allison, Bryant, Ala., and Jack Allison, Flat Rock, Aka.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 11 in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie Howard officiating. Interment was in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Henagar, Ala.

PAT LEE

Patricia (Pat) White Lee, 75, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.

Pat was born on Nov. 14, 1945, to Earl and Georgia (Bill) White. She was the second of five children. She and her family lived the first 10 years of her life in Flat Rock, Ala., before moving to Trenton. Pat attended Davis School until she graduated in 1964. After she graduated high school she immediately went to work and continued working until the day she fell ill three weeks ago. She attended Abba House of Worship and loved God and her family more than life itself She enjoyed spending time with her sister, going to yard sales, reading, cleaning, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee; parents, Earl and Georgia (Bill) White; siblings Carolyn White, Earnest (Bud) White, and Wayne White.

Survivors include her sister, Debbie White; children, Lisa Johnson, Jimmy Graham, and Robert (Kristie) Graham; grandchildren, Dustin Long and Charity Segee; great-grandchildren, Angel Long, Alexis Segee, Gunner Segee, and Ryker Segee.

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 13 in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Wilbanks and Rev. Anthony Castleberry officiating. Interment was in Payne Gap Cemetery.

SUE OLIVER

Sue Hamlin Oliver, affectionately known as “MamaSue”, 96, of Wildwood, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020.

She loved to cook for and entertain family and friends, crochet, travel, and for many years she and her husband, Elmer, ran a ceramics shop that was enjoyed by many. She was a faithful member of the Morganville United Methodist Church and later in life at Wauhatchie United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Elmer Oliver; her parents, Charles and Kate Hamlin; six siblings; and her step-grandson, Brice Chesnut.

Survivors include her sons, Nikki (Judy) Oliver, of Lookout Mountain, and Rusty (Ginger) Oliver of Macon; grandchildren, Kelley (Chris) Stanfield, Julie (Jeff) Poston, Wendy (Tad) Evearitt; step-grandson, Cameron Chesnut; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice as well as personal caregiver, Cassie Wilbanks, for their loving care for MamaSue.  Expressions of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.

Graveside services were Monday, Dec. 14, at Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery in Wildwood with Rev. Chris Stanfield officiating. Pallbearers were Tad Evearitt, John Gothard, Danny Hall, Jeff Poston, Roger Shelton, and Tim Shelton. Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons.

DANA PHILLIPS

Dana Long Phillips, 46, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2020.

Dana was a 1991 graduate of Lookout Valley Middle/High School where she was active in basketball, softball, and cheerleading and also attended Chattanooga State. She was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Long; grandparents, Carl and Odell Long and Elizabeth Pell and Alvin Pell.

Survivors include her sons, Riley and Owen Phillips; mother, Diane Pell Long; brother, Dave Long; nephew, Dylan Long; niece, Destiny Sharp; great-nephew, Liam Sharp; great-niece, Dylilah Long; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services were Thursday, Dec. 10 at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West with Pastor Troy Walliser officiating.
