FRANK BREEDLOVE

Franklin Roosevelt Breedlove, 87, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020.

He was owner and operated of Breedlove’s Upholstery and was a longtime bus driver for the Dade County School system. Mr. Breedlove was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Wanda Breedlove; daughter, Linda Faye Gladden and son, Gary Breedlove.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Gail (Susan Williams) Breedlove, Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Larry Dale (Cindy) Breedlove, Trenton; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great–great- grandchild.

Graveside services were Saturday Nov. 14 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Brother Jim Lilley officiating.

ELLA GARRETT

Ella Middleton Garrett, 76, of Lizella, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Jewel Middleton; husband, Jimmie Garrett; daughter, Jill Garrett; grandson, Andrew Cooper; great-granddaughter, Katie Smith; brothers, David and Robert Middleton and sister, Margaret Calhoun.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Alesha (Ledell) Casey of Wildwood; grandchildren, Bethany (Freddy) Phillips and David Cooper; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Thomas, Esther Rowland, Helen Leach and Vera Cook; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 14 at FairHaven Funeral Home in Macon.

A special thank you is extended to the staff of Hearth Hospice for the excellent care given.

Arrangements were made by Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory, Trenton.

 

DORIS KNIGHT

Doris Virginia Knight, 71, of Meridianville, Ala., passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020.

She was a native of Dade County and a daughter of the late Alvin and Mable Pritchett Short.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Willard Short.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Guindal Knight; daughters, Tammie and Mike Warren, Danielle Sanders and Macara and Tracy Herron; grandchildren, Chris Warren, Dylan Sanders, Shelby and Cole Gossett, Sheridan Herron and Dawson Sanders; great–grandchild, Parker Gossett; sisters, Geraldine York, Sheila and Randy Brown, Beverly and Jerome Wright and Carolyn Short; nieces and nephews and many more that called her “Aunt Doris.”

Pallbearers were Rodney Brown, Tony Brown, Caleb Kirkpatrick, John Manley, Adrian McAllister, Jamison McAllister and Dustin Wright.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 16 at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Keel and Bro. Gary Tucker officiating. Graveside services were in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Bryant, Ala.

MARGARET EUGENIA SELF

Margaret Self, 93. of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Nov.12, 2020.

Born in Macon on April 8, 1927, to Robert and Irene Giddens. Beloved mother to six children, grandmother to eight and great-grandmother to 16. Margaret was a woman who lived a life of love, generosity, and devotion to the Lord, as well as to her beloved family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Margaret was known countywide as the “Baby Lady” of Sand Mountain through her flea marketing endeavors.

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Clifton D. Self; son, David E. Self and brothers, Everett, Jimmy and Bobby Giddens.

A heartfelt “Thank You” to Hearth Hospice for their loving care and support to our dear mother.

A family memorial celebration was Sunday, Nov. 15 at the Flora Crest SDA Church 1228 County Road 89, Bryant AL 35958
