PETER CLOUD

Wesley “Peter” Cloud, 84, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Jamie Leon Cloud and Eddy Cloud; parents, Ed and Francis Cloud; sisters, Josephene Bryers, Betty Jean Palmer, and Arlivia Culpepper; brothers, Bud Cloud, Everette Cloud, and Roy Cloud.

Survivors include his daughters, Anita Jean Bowes and Polly Newman; sons, Lloyd Cloud, Dale Cloud, and Ronnie Cloud; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Faye Baxter, Donna Foote, Della Williams, Connie Atkins, Rose Pittman; brother, Ronald Cloud; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 16 in the Trenton chapel with Brother Terry Avans officiating.  Interment was in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

TERRY KEESLER

Terry C. Keesler, 50, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020.

HE was a 1989 graduate of Red Bank High School, employed with Valley Machine, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving father and husband.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Boss.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Lucy Keesler; children, Jordan, Hannah, and Caleb Keesler, all of Trenton; grandchild, Skylar Keesler; sister, Kimberly Annette (Rusty) Brock of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service was Monday, Oct. 19 in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home.

MARY SCOGGINS

Mary Beasley Scoggins, 74, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020.

Mary was born in Trenton on Jan. 26, 1946, to the late John and Mary Sullivan Beasley and worked as a floral designer for many years.  She was currently employed with Nat’s Florist and attended Union Baptist Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Scoggins, and brothers, Tony and Benny Beasley.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Hoskins, Dutton, Ala.; grandchildren, Bethany (Justin) Doran, and Connor Boydston; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Monday, Oct. 19 at Trenton Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Bradley Talley officiating.

EMMA TIDWELL

Mary Emma Tidwell, 89, of Rossville, passed away Friday, Oct.16, 2020.

Emma was born on Oct. 26, 1930, to the late Chester Allen and Mary Wooten Wright in Ider, Ala. She worked as a caregiver on Lookout Mountain for many years and was a member of Calvary Church of God. Emma enjoyed bowling, watching wrestling, church activities and listening to gospel music.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Buckles and granddaughter, Amy Melissa Buckles, and step-sister, Sis Wallingford.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise Frady of Rossville and Judith Renee Chinook of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa (Bryan) Glas, Christopher (Emily) McGrew, and Shawn Moore; great-granddaughters, Callie and Annie McGrew; step-brothers and sisters, David Stiefel, Roger Allen, Sue Ward, and Minnie Bell Peek; extended family members.

A special thank you is extended to the caregivers at NHC-Rossville for the excellent care given.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Frankie Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery, Ft. Payne, Ala.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 4–8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory.

HELEN VAUGHN

Helen June Morton Vaughn, 92, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020.

Helen was born Jan. 18, 1928, to the late Gordon W. and Cleo Voiles Morton on Lookout Mountain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Vaughn; daughter, Gail Stevens; seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Barrott of Trenton and Patricia Lederman-Miller of Wildwood; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Thursday, Oct. 15 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Bro. Warren Langley officiating. Her nephews served as pallbearers.

JEFF WOOTEN

Jeffrey Scott Wooten, 48, of Trenton, passed away Oct. 17 at his residence after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was a 1991 graduate of Northwest Georgia High School and had operated a handyman service for several years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Wooten.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Taylor Wooten; sons, Dustin Wooten (Angela), Cole Wooten, Jonathan Defevers (Haley), Everett Wooten, Braden Wooten; grandchildren, Candice and Ceagen Defevers; father, Charles Wooten; sisters, Tammy Johnson (Chris), Karen Pearson, Lisa Siniard; brother, Kevin Wooten, Steven Wooten; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Oct. 20 with Bro. Randy Flood officiating.

Interment was in Maxwell Cemetery.
