Dade County Detectives arrested a fugitive on Aug. 4 wanted in Tennessee with outstanding felonies in Hamilton and Marion County.
Detectives received information that the fugitive, Jefferey Adam Turner, was staying at a residence on Gass Road in Sand Mountain. Authorities conducted surveillance on the property to determine Turner’s vehicle and if he was indeed at the residence.
Public Information Officer for the Dade County Sheriff’s Office Chad Payne said that officers heard the subject barricading himself in the house. Three K9 handlers and K9 Rocco busted into the residence.
Upon entry, Turner ran and barricaded himself into the bathroom, which was also busted through by officers. Turner was taken into custody without incident.
Payne said charges from Dade County are pending.
