BETTIE ANDERTON
Bettie Louise Anderton, 95, of Bryant, Ala., passed away July 22, 2020. Her life was devoted to lovingly care for her family. She was no stranger to hard work, making a garden, canning and freezing its bounty and enjoying her flowers. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Anderton; son, Eddie Anderton; son-in-law, David Ray; parents, Claude and Lilly Cloud; sister, Mattie Mae Ott; brothers, Claude Jr., Troy, Vernon, Ray, R.B. Bobby, and J.D. Cloud.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Ray; Robin and Terry Spears and Tammy and Jimmy Doss; sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Janeice Anderton, Carolyn Anderton, Roger and Amy Anderton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 25 in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Steve Townson officiating. Burial was in Bryant Holiness Cemetery.
The family extends their appreciation to Comfort Care Hospice of Scottsboro and the caregivers that were so kind and loving to their mother.

GLENDA BLEVINS
Glenda Faye Blevins, 78, of the New Salem Community, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020. She was freed from Alzheimer’s disease and reunited with her memories. Glenda was a fiercely loyal person who loved her family and enjoyed hiking at Cloudland Canyon. She was a charter member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel “Jack” Moore and Edna McKaig Moore; brother, Gary Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Anthony) Winfree; son, John Gillespie; sisters, Mary Lois (Charlie) Moore, Donnie Nichols, Connie (John) Rogers and Jan Miller; two grandchildren, Cory Winfree and Rebekah Winfree.
Funeral services were Monday, July 27 in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Jim Hixon officiating. Burial was in Hawkins Cemetery.

DR. BROOKE CLARK
Dr. Kaitlin Brooke Clark, 25, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
She was an honor graduate from the 2013 class of Boyd-Buchanan High School and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala/, also with honors.
Dr. Clark was preceded in death by her grandparents, Laron and Ann Clark.
Survivors include her parents, Rodney and Tammy Chambers Clark of Trenton; grandparents, Danny and Darlene Proctor of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Bobby and Teresa Chambers of Trenton; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

JIMMY CUMMINS (Photo)
Jimmy Ray Cummins, 77, of Trenton, passed away August 1, 2019 during a procedure at Memorial Hospital to place a pacemaker on his heart. He was a crane operator in Charlotte, North Carolina and Florida for over 50 years before retired in 2006.
He had eight children, Dana, Tim, Keith, Hayden, Frankie, Panza Braswell, Bruce and Terry Chavez; and two brothers, Larry ad Donny.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Jean Cummins. He also raised some of her grandchildren, Jean Cheria Walters Davies and Cameron Lee Walters. His great-grandchildren were Dalton Walters, Tia Ray and Lea Cay Davies, Cheria Renae and Gabriel Lee Walters.
BARBI HURST
Barbi Gale (Buchanan) Hurst, 52, passed away after a brief illness on July 22, 2020.
She was predeceased by her father, Tyrone Buchanan and grandparents, Millard and Iona Pennington.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Hurst; daughter Hanna (Shane) Whited; mother, Brenda (Gary) Bell; sisters, Marci (Martin) Blevins, Anessia (Steven) Reeves; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service was at Trenton First Baptist Church on Monday, July 27 with Rev Eddie Cantrell and Rev Robbi Dunn officiating.

KAREN MORELAND
Karen Kay Moreland, 53, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
Karen was a 1985 graduate of Ider High School and was employed by Blue Cross-Blue Shield. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where she taught AWANAS, Sunday School and was loved by many children.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Derrick Moreland; children, Josh (Crysten) Moreland, Warner Robins, and Ashley Moreland, Trenton; parents, Laura and Robert Steele of Deer Head Cove; brother, Robert Steele, Jr; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were Saturday, July 25 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev Jonathan Witt officiating.

ED PALMER III
William “Ed” Palmer, III, 67, of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Vietnam. While in the service, Ed learned the trade of welding and continued that passion for several different companies. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0232 for 24 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward, II and Adele McCaslin Palmer; nephew, Robbie Weger.
Survivors include his wife of seven years, Lisa Palmer; children, Tina Palmer, Douglas (Heather) Stotts, Aurora Stotts, and Mysti Stotts; grandchildren, Benjamin Stotts and Abbigale Stotts; sisters, Ruth (Den) Biernbaum and Elizabeth Quinones; one nephew.

Candie Sain, 60, of Wildwood, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lila Hix and father, Wade Cook.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Widdon; daughter, Jamie Cook; son, Jonathan Sain; sisters, Teresa Sharp, Scarlet Little, Lisa Simpson, Ruthann Donaldson, Cindy Mchan, and Lynn Brock; brothers, Bob Hix, Ralph Hix, and Billy James; step-parents, Gloria Cook and James Hix; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
