DCHS Athletes sign to Bryan College, Saint Andrews University
Dade County High School announced on July 22 that two Wolverines signed athletic scholarships for Golf and Wrestling.
Lane Wilson signed a wrestling scholarship with Saint Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina and will be coached by the newly appointed Nick Soto. Aydin Norman signed a golf scholarship with Bryan College in Dayton Tennessee and will be coached by second year man Jake Goins who led the Lions to two top four finishes in their final two tournaments last season.
Dade County High School Head Golf Coach Nick Wilson said that he is confident in Norman’s ability to perform at the college level.
“I’m a proud coach,” Wilson said. “Aydin is a disciplined young athlete and I think he’ll go far at the next level.”
DCHS Head Wrestling Coach Jeff Poston said that he is excited to see what is next for Wilson at Saint Andrews University.
“Lane is an extremely strong kid,” Poston said. “We’re very excited to see him wrestle at a higher level.”
Norman said that the experience was the embodiment of hard work paying off.
“It’s amazing to be here after so many years of hard work and having the opportunity to play golf in college,” Norman said.
