Dade moves to 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases

Dade County Executive Ted Rumley confirmed another COVID-19 case during the Wednesday Town Hall meeting on May 6, making the total number of cases for Dade now 17.

 

The case was confirmed by health officials on May 5.

 

Rumley gave an update on cases in Dade’s neighboring counties as well, with Hamilton County increasing from 180 to 184 with 94 recoveries and 13 deceased. Marion County stayed at 29 confirmed cases with 24 recoveries. Jackson County increased from 50 to 53 confirmed cases.

 

The state of Georgia now has over 30,000 confirmed cases and over 1,300 deaths.
