Dade adds new drive-through ballot box

The Dade County Commissioners’ Office confirmed the implementation of a drive-through ballot box for voting in the upcoming election at the Commission Meeting on May 7.

The ballot box, which was required to be created under state regulations in response to social distancing guidelines, is open 24 hours and does not require people to leave their vehicles.

Also during the meeting, the Commission said that it is still working to determine the cost of insurance renewal for all city employees, and is also working on cutting down the amount of burning being done to discard recent tornado debris.
