Dwight Cagle
Charles Dwight Cagle, 81, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Born Feb. 19, 1944, to the late Barney and Sally Smith Cagle, Dwight was a devoted family man whose life was marked by love, hard work, and a generous spirit. A lifelong farmer, Dwight was deeply rooted in the land and the community. He found purpose in tending to his cattle and took pride in helping fellow farmers. Cattle sales were a favorite pastime, and he was known for his quick wit, easygoing nature, and the ability to make friends with anyone he met. In addition to his work on the farm, Dwight was an entrepreneur at heart, always pursuing new business opportunities. Dwight was of the Baptist.
Dwight was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Cagle; a set of infant twins; grandson, Eric Crowe; brother, Bronalee Cagle; and Scott Sullivan, whom he considered a son.
Survivors include his sons, Tim (Melissa) Cagle, Eric (Laura) Cagle, and Tim (Deana) Peek; daughters, Kim Williams and Tammy (John) Bradley; wife, Leila Cagle; sisters, Doris Slater, Joyce True, and Renee (Kenneth) Hill; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 10, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Luke McKay and Brent Tinker officiating. Interment was at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

Joyce Cagle
Joyce Ann Cagle, 81, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Friday, May 9, 2025.
Born Nov. 30, 1943, Joyce chose to live her life through acts of kindness, generosity, and faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beautiful soul.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Hoyt Cagle; parents, Gilbert Jack and Mary Cloud Stevens.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra Abernathy (Larry) and Brenda Cagle; grandchildren, Britney (Bryan) Williams and Blake (Shana) Abernathy; great-grandchildren, Jace, Layla, and Willow Grace Abernathy, Isaac (Katelyn) Moreland, Nevaeh Williams, and Trinity Williams; great-great-grandchild, Clay Lindsey Moreland; sister, Emily Casey.
Funeral services were Monday, May 12, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Jim Hixon officiating. Interment was at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Jeanette Ellis
Jeanette Key Ellis, 79, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Born Aug.11,1945, Jeanette had a deep love for her family and took great joy in caring for them. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones. She was a devoted member of Bryant Holiness Church.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Early and Cora Lee Key.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Ellis; children, Shannon Kesler and Greg (Joy) Ellis; sister, Patricia Dawson; grandchildren, Chandler and Jordan Ellis, and Courtney and Nicholas Kesler.
Funeral services were Wednesday, May 14 in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother David Higdon officiating. Interment was at Bryant Holiness Church Cemetery.
