Tri-State Humane Society Fundraiser 2025

Photo by Lydia Berglar – The Feb. 22 fundraiser for the Tri-State Humane Society was a grand success, with well over 250 people showing up to play bingo, win prizes, enjoy a meal, and see some puppies at the Trenton Community Center. The evening raised a net $7,422 to go toward rescuing puppies. Stevie and the Moon sponsored the event, and the Optimist Club provided and served food. Without Steven Ellis, Dewayne and Dorinda Moon, and the Optimist Club, the event wouldn’t have been possible.

Brown and Kennamer run the Tri-State Humane Society and in 2024, they rescued 737 animals. At the fundraiser, Brown remembered her late husband, Bobby Brown, who also loved animals and helped with the rescue efforts up until his death.
