First Snow of 2025

Photo courtesy of Lisa Gilbert Shrader – On Friday, Jan. 10, Dade County was covered in a beautiful layer of snow, as seen here at Cloudland Canyon State Park. The valley got 3-4 inches, and the mountains got 5-6 inches. There were few power outages, and only one person used a storm shelter as a heating shelter. There were about 12 weather-related accidents on Friday and Saturday. Overall, Dade fared much better than during last January’s winter storm.
