DANNY BENNETT
Danny Lee “Tuck” Bennett, 73, of Trenton, passed away Saturday, Aug.24, 2024.
“Tuck” as he was known by many, was born in South Pittsburg, Tenn., on April 8, 1951, to the late David and Marie Bennett and had resided in the Brown Gap Community of Dade County for many years and was the owner of Brown Gap Auto Parts on Sand Mountain. Tuck loved fishing, going to flea markets and yard sales. He also enjoyed traveling up to North Carolina to the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. He was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Tuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife 39 years, Carol Bennett; brothers, Kenneth, Wendell and Rickey Bennett and a sister, Joan Cooper.
Survivors include his daughters; Laura (Evan) Stone and Linda (Luke) Sutton; son, Douglas Russell; sister, Joy (Randy) Cureton; grandchildren, Caitlin, Lee, Jamie and Jared.
A memorial service will be at a later date.

HELEN COLE
Mary “Helen” Porter Cole, 94, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024.
Born March 19, 1930, in Wildwood to Herbert Porter and Beula Bell Lea. Helen’s selflessness touched the lives of so many, and she will be remembered for her ready smile, distinctive laugh, and a deep abiding faith in God. Helen and her sisters enjoyed traveling and loved singing while accompanying each other on piano and organ. The last years of her life were some of her happiest years, reading books, playing games on her Ipad, shopping on Amazon, and playing cornhole where she reigned supreme.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Clark” Cole; brothers, Norvin, Harry and John; sisters, Elsie Price, Leona Bowman, Beulah (Boots) Lawson and Sue Lawson.
Survivors include her children, Chuck, Eddie and Mary (Rick).
A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.

WILLOW DEAN SHAVERS
Willow Dean Shavers, 91, of Bryant, Ala., assed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024.
Born Jan. 13, 1933, Willow Dean lived a life rich in love, faith, and devotion to her family and friends. She cherished her summers spent at Hilton Head Island, enjoying time on the beach with family and was a wonderful cook. She was a devoted member of the Floral Crest Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Breland Shavers; parents, Grady Wyatt and Ruby Moore Reece; siblings, sister Annie Bernice Bynum; brothers, William Carlon Reece, Arlon Reece, and Homer Reece.
Survivors include her daughters, Paula (Mike) Griffin of Cumming, and Pamela Dodd of Rossville; grandchildren, Andrea Paul and Kellie Griffin of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Emilie Paul, Griffin Paul, Walker Paul, Willow Donnelly, and Thomas Donnelly.
Funeral services will be today, Aug. 28, noon ET in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment will be at Brown Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m., ET until the time of the service.
Robin Bynum, Terry Reece, Mark Reece, Griffin Paul, and Walker Paul will serve as pallbearers.
