The Dade County Board of Education held the third FY25 millage rate hearing on August 15 at 5:30 p.m. before voting on the millage rate at 6 p.m.
Josh Ingle (superintendent) repeated the information included in last week’s article.
During Public Input, Michael Tinker asked about money from the Georgia Lottery, noting that it is supposed to go toward education. Ingle explained that the lottery funds our pre-K programs and the Georgia HOPE Scholarship, but no lottery funds go toward K-12 education.
All board members voted in favor of a 14.000 millage rate.
