Hoppy’s Outfitters Opens In Trenton

Hoppy’s Outfitters celebrated its grand opening on May 2nd with a ribbon cutting. In 2022, when Meshelle Andrade and her family began building a home in Dade County to get away from Atlanta, she connected with the Alliance for Dade to see what type of business the county needed. Andrade said she does not have a background in outdoor retail/activities, but she set out to learn what locals wanted. Hearing that clothing, especially men’s clothing, is needed, she added that to the store, along with a bait vending machine, kayak and bike rentals, and fishing gear. Andrade sells items below the recommended sale price, saying, “I’m trying to give you the best price I can upfront. People can tell me about anything they’d like to see carried in the store, within reason, and I’ll see if I can get it.
