This October, the Dade County school system was featured in “Business View Magazine’s” civil and municipal publication. The article, titled “Dade County Schools: A Beacon of Safety and Excellence,” highlighted Dade’s early education programs, community focus, NASA HUNCH program, extracurricular options, safety, and more.

Of the community focus, Business View wrote, “Dade County Schools isn’t just an educational institution; it’s the heartbeat of a tight-knit community. ‘It takes a village to raise a child,’ Ingle notes, highlighting the school’s central role in the community.”

Of NASA HUNCH, the article said, “At the middle and high school levels, there is a more intensive focus on STEM, featuring larger 3D printers and complex projects. The district’s partnership with NASA HUNCH stands out prominently.”

The article touched on many other aspects of Dade County Schools that local readers are familiar with and proud of.

Josh Ingle (superintendent) told the Sentinel, “Business View Magazine (BVM) contacted our school district in July interested in publishing a series promoting education as the ‘Cornerstone of Communities’ in Georgia. It was my understanding that the purpose of their publication was to leverage support for additional funding for critical infrastructure, programs, and equipment for students.”

About being interviewed for the feature, Ingle said, “It was a GREAT experience. It was an opportunity to showcase our district, highlight our programs, and emphasize the Board of Education’s commitment to our students, staff, and the greater community.”

Ingle thought (but couldn’t confirm for sure) that BVM also interviewed the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) and Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) as part of the process.
