GEORGE ANDERSON
George Franklin Anderson, 86, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Thursday, Dec.7, 2023.
George was born Sept.20, 1937, in Sequatchie, Tenn. He served in the United States Navy and had a successful career as a diesel mechanic throughout his career. George was a member of Browns Chapel Holiness Church. Among his hobbies were deer hunting, working on cars, and expressing his creativity through painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Virginia Jones Anderson; brother, David Anderson, and sister Billie Sue Middleton.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Frances Anderson; daughters, Georgia Denise (Michael) Hawkins and Hailey Elizabeth (Corey) Simons; brother, Chester Anderson; sister, Martha Ann Long; grandchildren, Jeremy Hawkins, Erika and Bryan Cooper, Scarlett and Lyla Jane Simons; great-grandchildren, Robyn and Nick Daniels, Eli and Courtnie Cooper, Levi Hawkins; great-great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Daniels; extended family members.
A funeral service with military honors was Monday, Dec. 11 in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Guindal Knight, Brother Larry Walker, and Brother Wayne Guffey officiating. Interment was at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all friends and family who provided unwavering support during George’s illness. They extend a special thanks to Hospice of Alabama for their exceptional care and support during this challenging time.

JULIA MORGAN
Julia Ann Morgan, 67, of the New Salem Community on Lookout Mountain, passed away Sunday, Dec.3, 2023.
In addition to her parents, Fred and Ruth Bradford, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alan Bradford, and sister-in-law, Donna Bradford.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ronald Morgan; sons, Rodney (Pam) Morgan and Eric (Summer) Morgan; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Matthew) Hammonds, Braxton (Ava) Morgan, Zariah Hughes, and Kiera Hughes; great-grandchildren, Slade, Brixley, and Jaden; brothers, Melvin (Martha) Bradford, Gilbert Bradford, Dennis (Renita) Bradford, and Gregory (Carolyn) Bradford; sister-in-law, Kathy Bradford; extended family members.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Eddie Cantrell, Jim Hixon and Randy Tinker officiating. Interment was at Hawkins Cemetery.

GEORGE ROE
George Luther Roe, 73, passed away Monday, Dec.11, 2023.
Born on March 5, 1950, in Ironton, Ohio, to Luther and Wilma Roe. Growing up alongside his brother, John Roe, and sisters, Irene Primm and Elsie Fairchild, George developed a deep sense of love and loyalty towards his family that remained with him throughout his life. George worked for many years at Florida Power as a Telecommunications Technician. He enjoyed riding his tractor, fishing, and was an Amateur radio enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Roe; sons, Tommy Roe (Kerry) of Rincon and Chad Roe (Christine) of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandchildren, Luke Roe, Sean Roe, Owen Roe, and Madison Roe; brother, John Roe (Carol), of Ashland, Ky.
Services will be private.
