Known first for its pick-your-own flower fields and then for last year’s addition of pick-your-own blueberries, Fox Mountain Farms continues to add more ways for guests to enjoy this beautiful bit of Rising Fawn. One of the newer additions is the Adventure Tours which the farm began offering in fall 2024 so that guests could see more of the property and make use of the setting for adventurous photo shoots.
Clyde and Kendra Mobley explained that over the last few years of their farm being open to the public, people have asked about the rest of the land beyond the flower and blueberry fields. Eager to test out new ideas and see what people are interested in, they came up with Adventure Tours.

The Mobleys drive tour participants around the mountainside of Fox Mountain in a side-by-side, stopping at boulders, waterfalls, and fields to take in the views, snap some photos, or climb around the terrain.
The shorter tour (about an hour or so) costs $100, and the longer tour (two hours or a bit longer) costs $200. So far, some people have used the tours for photoshoots, and a few have just enjoyed the ride.
Right now, the tour features spring scenery, but when the Mobleys started Adventure Tours last year, a few folks took advantage of the fall foliage.
As for the Mobleys, they’re still enjoying exploring the property and have a lot left to discover. While familiarizing themselves with all of the trails—and putting in a lot of hard work to clean up and maintain them—they’ve found a cave, an old chimney, and a rock outcrop.
They planted sunflower seeds in one of the fields hidden in the woods to see if it will turn into a field full of sunflowers.
When the family took the Sentinel to see the sites on the side of Fox Mountain, one of their dogs, Buddy, followed along the whole trip, thoroughly enjoying running behind the side-by-side, jumping in the waterfalls, and frolicking through fields. The kids—Bren, Leroy, and Frank—fearlessly scrambled around the mountainside as if they’d been born in the woods.
The Mobleys left what had been a small town before it was eaten up by Atlanta partly so that their children could enjoy growing up in nature. Here in Dade County, the kids and adults alike are at home in nature’s playground.
If you go on the tour and want to fully explore the sites, be sure to wear good shoes and be prepared for an exciting ride and some steep hiking down to waterfalls and up to the rock outcrop. If you prefer an easier journey, you can sit back and enjoy the ride without much effort.

As for the rest of the farm, the blueberry bushes produced enough fruit last season for the farm to begin offering pick-your-own blueberries. This was so popular that the Mobleys planted many more of the bushes for future harvests.
They’re continuing to expand the flower fields and added a wildflower portion partway up the hill this season. The farm also started a nursery, selling blueberry, hydrangea, blackberry, and raspberry bushes.
Near the nursery, the Mobleys built a large sandbox for kids to play in while parents enjoy a break picking flowers.
The farm’s flower subscription is just $100 for the whole season. Each week, flower lovers with a subscription can pick a bucket full, starting when the flowers are ready (early or mid-June) and going through the end of the season.
Without a subscription, a bucket full costs $30, and the Mobleys find that this is enough to make about three large bouquets.
The nursery is currently open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and in a couple of months, the flowers and blueberries will be ready to pick on Saturdays too. Check the farm’s Facebook and Instagram page for updates.
