Trenton Men Facing Felony Charges

Dade County 911 dispatched an officer to the area of Hales Gap Road and Slygo Road regarding a male subject walking around an abandoned property on Tuesday, Feb. 1. It was also reported that a truck was parked on the side of Hales Gap Road close to the incident location. A Dade County detective and Drug Task Force agent responded to the location.
After the vehicle VIN number was checked, they recognized the owner of the vehicle. They advised dispatch they were familiar with the owner, and asked Road Patrol respond to their location, so they could attempt to locate the male.
Upon the arrival of the Road Patrol unit, a perimeter was established around the property.
While checking the property, Dade County units located a subject who was attempting to hide from deputies. While identifying the located subject, other Dade County units began walking the through the woods in the direction of the truck parked on Hales Gap.
While combing the woods, Dade County units “flushed” the other subject out of the woods, directly into another deputy who was waiting at the subjects vehicle.
It was found that the vehicle owner had parked on the side of the road, lifted his hood, and removed his tag, attempting to imply the vehicle was broken down.
The two subjects arrested were: Stacey A. Hart, 49, of Trenton, for conspiracy to commit a felony, criminal trespass and probation warrant (out of Jackson, Ala.), and Eric J. Shrader, 48, of Trenton, for conspiracy to commit a felony, concealing the identity of a motor vehicle, and criminal trespass.
Both subjects are currently incarcerated at the Dade County Jail. All subjects are presumed innocent, until proven guilty in a court of law.
